Master’s in Company Law from the Garrigues & Harvard Law School and a degree in Law from the University of the Basque Country, having completed his Law studies at Krakowska Akademia im. Andrzeja Frycza-Modrzewskiego (Poland) and at Universitá Degli Studi di Catania (Italy).

He is a practising solicitor of the Álava Bar Association. He has extensive experience as a specialist in Commercial Law, having spent a large part of his career (2010-2017) in the renowned firm, Garrigues, as a Senior Partner. He is a specialist in commercial Law, providing ongoing advice on company, contractual and criminal compliance matters to national and international clients, with businesses in all types of sectors, also carrying out the duties of the Secretary of the Management Board.

Mario has been involved in a large number of business reorganisations, the purchase and sale of companies and businesses, joint ventures, implementation of regulatory compliance and money laundering prevention plans, contractual negotiations, negotiations between partners, etc.

He has also participated as a lecturer in the Master’s programme in the Cinematographic Industry at the Carlos III University of Madrid, as an expert in the legal framework of commercial companies, and has contributed as an external consultant and lecturer in various centres and institutions in his capacity as an expert in the internationalisation of companies and in contractual negotiation (among others, the Economic Development Agency of La Rioja and the Footwear Technology Centre of La Rioja).

In continuous training, he attends courses, conferences and seminars to keep him up to date on legal and commercial matters, among other things. In 2017-2018 he attended the Advanced Compliance Programme of the Instituto de Empresa.
